New data from [SparkToro and Similarweb](https://sparktoro.com/blog/in-2026-less-than-one-third-of-google-searches-still-send-a-click/) reveals that 68.01% of Google searches now end without a click. That is nearly seven out of ten searches. This is not a glitch. It is a massive shift in how the internet works. ## Google is Now a Walled Garden People are still searching, but they are not leaving Google. With AI Overviews, Google just gives the answer at the top of the page. Whether someone is looking for a hotel in Galway or legal advice, the AI handles it. The user gets what they need and leaves, and you never even get a look-in.
